ISVA Donates to Local Elementary Schools

The Indian Springs Village Association is pleased to once again support our neighborhood elementary schools in 2012.  Monies raised at our ISVA events, such as Taste of the Village, are put back into our community through scholarships for our high school seniors and donations to our local elementary schools.

A donation was made to the Glen Loch Elementary PTO for $500.  This will go towards Glen Loch’s Accelerated Reader program.  The check was presented by Indian Springs board members Eric Thomas and Amy Lecocq at the October PTO meeting to Glen Loch PTO President Felicia Constant and Glen Loch Principal Cassie Hertzenberg.

A second donation was made to Galatas Elementary School.  Galatas Elementary is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year!  ISVA board member Veronica Williams presented Galatas with a check for $500.  Accepting the check on behalf of the school were Roger Galatas, Galatas Principal Marlene Lindsay and Galatas Assistant Principal Denae Wilker.  Mrs. Wilker said, "Your $500 gift will provide students in kindergarten through fourth grade with reference materials for reading and writing activities.  These materials include nonfiction books, computer software and consumables, which will be available to all students."
